    Henderson good yet?

Anyone been to Henderson lately? I'm looking for a place to go to catch some bass...False River seems to be REALLY crowded lately!

    Hey Jusin,

I haven't heard any news from Henderson lately.........the water is high as all get out, but the color should be getting right........the north end should be getting good, but I can't say for sure without trying it myself........

    Hey Justin,
In the fishing reports in the Lafayette paper, Cypress Cove was saaying that there were bass being caught in the Texas, Phillips Canals and along the train track pilings. Also north on the flats and run offs up north........Also around the bar pits, not sure about them, I have never been to them.......the water is still super high and with all this rain we just got, it will be very muddy........

Thanks for the responses guys! I may go give Henderson a try in the next couple weeks. I've always liked fishing there for some reason...

    Justin,

In a couple of weeks when you go, give me a buzz...... I may have the updated fishing report and might be able to meet up with you there......

watch the river stage at butte larose, its on a slight rise again for now. when it starts to fall steady again and gets in the 12-10 ft range thats the time to go. not to say you cant catch now, my buddies won the dogfight last night with 7 1/2 lbs w/ 3 fish

Thanks for the heads up on that "Tip".........I know the drains in the up end are good when the water is falling, I just didn't know the magic numbers to watch for....thanks again,

    Re: (Ricky196)

yeah at 10' everything is pretty much inside the banks and levees therefore your not fighting all that backwater.so at 12-13 and falling your fish should start pulling to the edges and get alot more accessable
