I have a cabin rented at the state park the weekend of the 18th and would appreciate any tips y'all might have, ihad been catching a few bass on a carolina rig in 8-12 ft of water a month ago but I'm sure the pattern will have changed by the time I get back down there. I pickedup a couple spro frogs at academy today for fishing the grass up smith creek and some stuff for chinquapin fishing but would appreciate any pointers y'all might have.

Good fish man, I know what you mean about wishing you were closer, i live in Ruston which isn't that far but for some reason it feels like it takes for ever to get there,lol mileage wise it's about the same from here to Claiborne & Darbonne but they sure seem closer.
