    Toledo Bend action

My wife and I and the kids went to TB this weekend and had some fun. We fished Friday and Saturday. Friday morning was slow, I had one nice fish on a sinko fishing mid-lake in 1 - 2' of water. Kids got tired, dropped them off at the camp then hit some secondary points in Slaughter Creek with the wife late Friday afternoon. Throwing chrome and blue traps we boated 10 fish in 45 minutes. Nothing to brag about but fun, all 11 - 15" fish.

Saturday I hit some points in Six Mile dragging a lizard and the wife throwing her now favorite chrome and blue trap. Fished until 11 and boated another 13 fish with 6 being "keeper" fish.

Disclaimer: Buster, I tried to call you Saturday morning but you must not have service in Carrice Creek.

Did you stay in Carrice Sat.? The girls are scheduled to play Hanson at home on Saturday, but if they cancel I am headed back up to look around some more. Our best 5 Saturday would have been maybe 10 - 10.5. That won't do much good in the LOBI. I won't even consider Friday's fish, we caught them between 5 and 6 in the evening. I am thinking Sandy Creek, Mill Creek or south of there. I think most of the fish up north have spawned out already.

I fished down south and the hens are not on the beds just a few small bucks. You can catch all of them you want w/ a 4in senko or wacky rig. The hens had a bad case of lock jaw. It should be prime in a few weeks.....

The fish didn't bite till after lunch and picked up as the day went on.
