Hey gang I did something the I hadn't done in a long time. I went walked a pond I use to fish years ago. I saw that the WIND was BLOWING hard out the south. Being this little honey is fed by a river system I was to myself, what the heck let me go an try. I didn't have anything to lose. Plus I didn't have to be bothered with put the boat on the trailer.
Well wouldn't you know, I caught a couple of them! Fat ones to! I had 4 good quality bites with a monster pond cat that gave me a real good RUSH! Catch them all on a Walmart small rattle trap!
Heck that is the best that Ihave done in months! I've been combing the waters for Venice to Beouf to Des Allemands to Delacroix causing nothing but frustration. An wouldn't you know I made a 15 minute trip from the house and BAM! They were right under my nose!

You can go and catch all the bass you want right now 5 minutes from your house. It's 8 minutes from mine. I was tired of setting the hook by 1:00 Sunday. You know where....
