These drum are basically like Red Fish. They will eat reaction type baits and put up a good fight. Some say they are good to eat. Here is one I caught on Saturday.

I know a bunch of guys that have a ball flyfishing for drum and carp in the flats around here in the summer; may try it myself sometime. Next best thing to sight fishing for bonefish in the Bahamas I suppose![]()

Drum are actually very good to eat. If I had to rate them, I would put them right in between Bald Eagle and Whooping Crane![]()

But seriously, they are very good eating. Besides, the more we eat or throw on the bank the less times we'll think we have a monster bass on the end of our lines only be let down. (especially during a tournament)![]()

Haven't ran it yet. still waiting on some paper work so I can get it registered.
I eat them all the time. They are actually wonderful eating and have some very good white meat. You will get some funny looks and be made fun of but try them sometime, you will be happy you did!
