    95 John 225 one more time

    95 John 225, rebuilt carbs, new filters, new plugs, decarb,new fuel line,new bulb, fresh gas and oil. Take to the lake starts easy, idles good, hit hot foot takes off great, run 3-5 min no problems, stop fish for an hour or so starts easy idles good mash hot foot and she dies right now, starts easy idles good, VERY SLOWLY put foot into it she gets up and goes. The rest of day same thing, have to slowly push hot foot to get her to react

    Did you check your throttle linkage to the rollers? Take your throttle cable off at the motor and check where the rollers are touching on the top of the carbs, manually move the linkage on the side of the motor and check for binding and correct setting. Then re-install the throttle cable taking note if you have to move the linkage to get the cable hole over the pin. This may be your problem and only requires an adjustment of the Throttle cable itself. CM

    Thanks ChampioNman, I did check the linkage adjustment but it didn't seem to be off. I also checked sync and link and it seems ok (if I'm reading this right, the roller should be centered to the mark, and have .005 clearance between when completed)
