eTec extended warranty

Thought twice about posting this, but it probably won't be the last stupid thing I do, so here goes...

I'm now reading (after purchasing my 225HO on the back of a Z20) about other guys who were wise enough to take the "test drive" and get an extended warranty certificate on their eTec. Unfortunately it looks like I missed that homework assignment...

So - am I completely out-of-luck on this? Had I know about it, I would have driven a long way to get that certificate in my back pocket. I know this is all about me not checking into details, but I'm hoping there may still be a small crack in the door I could try?

As for general information, if you have purchased the motor and it has been registered with BRP without taking advantage of a promotional offer, you are going to basically be out of luck.

But with these motors, what do you need additional coverage for anyway???
