not sure what mine is gonna be but i'll find out friday
I heard something about it was debated in the legislature but was dropped. Why?
They loose money because guys get their boats registered in other states that have reasonable fees.
They need to get in line with other states!

Kent Craft is a member of the KBFN and our official lobbyist so to speak. Kent has spoken before the Kansas Legislature many times about the high boat taxes in Kansas. At the spring KBFN business meeting he gave a report and it was his opinion that things are moving in a positive direction; albeit slowly.
One of his points was that with the extreem cash shortage on a state level; the legislature is reluctant to decrease taxes. He said it was dificult to convince them that if they did decrease taxes on boats that there would probably be a large number of boaters who would no longer register their boat in Mo or Ok, thereby increasing the flow of tax money back into Kansas.
Just an FYI. Thanks Brad V.
Luxury tax. RV's are taxed to death. But by god if you have more than two cars per house hold it's not a damn luxury nor is a motorcycle. This state would tax the skid marks in your underwear if they thought they could.
