KS Elk Permit Auction

The Kansas Alliance for Wetlands and Streams has posted a Kansas elk permit for auction on eBay. The link is:

for those who may be interested. Details regarding the permit are listed on the auction site. Note that the auction ends on 24 FEB.

The Kansas Alliance for Wetlands and Streams has been very involved in working with the state to come up with suggestions and ideas on how to improve the pheasant population in Kansas. If anyone is interested in an elk permit, the money would be going to a good cause.

EASY.......you dont get one

Nebraska did same thing for while till the complaints started coming in.....now its a DRAW unit.........but you better have the money when they pull it cause if you dont they go to 2nd person Drawn.....I'd be willing to bet they already had money lined up just waiting for it to happen


Did you notice it s "proposed" hunt.....which means they can change it.....or push it off till next year if they so decide.


atleast its for a good cause it will probably go fo about 6k when done.

Start saving for one in a few years. Probably not a wise investment though.

I would love to buy that if I had the money, but the truth is then you have to find land to hunt on and as we all know...that will cost more money...Gonna be a high dollar tag when its all said and done!

Pretty much the only place to hunt Elk in KS will be on Ft Riley military reservation and it won't cost you a dime. Just some time taking the required safety course and some phone calls to check dates on training areas and when they are not in use.

Or, you could come to my house and hunt the Elk unit that is a 1/2 mile west of me. I can get you on that ground for free but of couse it would be at the cost of some crazy remarks thrown at you by the farmer. Last time I saw and elk over there was ummmmm, never!
