2003 225 Optimax (Don and Wayne)

I've done some sniffing around and it looks like there are some things to be done to my motor. This is a new-to-me Ranger 520 and I am looking to get the most out of the motor. Trying to get any performance out of a boat in New Mexico is a challenge at best. I'm adding a 10" jackplate and will have the prop worked by Croxton.

From what I can tell, I want to do the Flywheel and possibly some ECU mods from Simon and then the tuner from Wayne? I will be calling both of you today to discuss, but I wanted to see if there were other ideas as well.

    Thanks in advance,

PS: I need to find out who Stokerdean is...fishes from Wednesday to Sunday night...I need an application! I'll offer up the same fishing realted adventure...but mine will be limited to the weekend...maybe plus Friday.

    Engine serial number?

Eric Simon may have some help for you... I would recommend you talk with him first and discuss options.

Of course... you ALWAYS want to "start" any such project with a HEALTHY, PROPERLY RUNNING ENGINE. Leakdown test, clean injectors, clean direct injectors, proper Air/Fuel pressures, spark on all six cyl's, correct (and clean) spark plugs, etc.

    Serial Number: OT736365

It is coming from having a considerable amount of work done from the mechanic. The seller is water testing this afternoon and I am hoping to pick it up today. Once I get it...I plan on having my tech here in ABQ check it over...some of the stuff you listed...but I will give him that list.

    I will call Eric.

    Thanks,
