not a constant beep, any ideas what the problem could be?

Battery connection. Does it seem to reduce power. If you are not using wing nuts on your starting battery you should. It could also be water in your fuel. Exactly what type of alarm? Was it constant or intermittent beeps?
was not a constant beep, it is a intermitting beep

Do NOT use wingnuts on battery connection- use only Stainless Steel Locknuts.

Check the oil tank ON THE ENGINE. There should be NO air in the tank- it should be full of oil TO THE BRIM.
If air is present, (with the engine running)- open the cap a turn or so, and allow the air to bleed out. This may take anywhere from a couple of seconds, to several minutes, depending on how much air is present.
If there is NO AIR PRESENT... and the alarm is still going off, you need to get the engine on the Computer Diagnostic System to "verify" the fault. It is possible to have a faulty oil tank float... resulting in a "false" reporting of low oil level.![]()

i bled the oil tank on the motor yesterday, and it is still beeping, i guess i'm going to bring it to the shop. so intermitting beep is low oil, water in gass, are low voltage?
okay, now i'm confused.............got home from work and decided to play with the motor, hooked up the battery charger, and then decided to unhook the battery cables and stack them correctly from large connections to smaller connections, tightened cables, very tight, and then turned the motor over just to here the alarm one more time before i dropped off at my dealer and guess what, ........no alarm??? only ran motor for about 5 seconds cause did not have it hooked up to a water supply.. did disconnecting the battery leads clear the alarm, are maybe that could have been the problem before, even though they were very tight before? if the rain stops i may go hook the whose to it and let it run for 5 to 10 minutes.![]()

Disconnecting the battery will not clear an alarm... however, reconnecting it "properly" MAY have "solved" the issue that was "CAUSING" an alarm.![]()

it's going off again..................heading to the shop in about 30 minutes![]()
Make sure that you request a "paper printout" of the fault history... and save it for future reference.![]()

I want to thank you guys for this thread. I filled my remote tank the otherday and the rope got caught between the nut and the seal. I noticed it when the alarm went off while runnning the boat and stopped and corrected the problem. Pulled the cowling and checked the res. It was full to my knowledge. I did not know there was not supposed to be any air space what so ever. The alarm sounded all day.So after reading this thread I checked the res. I had an 1.5 inch air gap between the oil and the cap. I topped it off and BAM!!!!!no more alarm. I had bought a new water seperator and a bottle of dri - fuel and was going to try that so needless to say if it weren't for you guys I would be stressed the $^%$ out right now heading for the shop.
