    Triton 18x2/150 Mercury Optimax question

I traded in my Nitro and got a BrandNew Triton w/Mercury 150 Optimax and while I am still breaking it in and have NOT gone over 5,000 rpms and while varying my speed/rpm i.e. 3,000, 3,100, 3,200 3,300 3,400 while out today I got a "buzzing noise" and remember the same "buzzing noise" while I had my Nitro Merc. 150 XR6 and w/the Nitro it did it while in very shallow water and I had to dig a piece of wire in the little outlet and then it ran fine.
Is this "buzzing noise" the same thing skinny water? It is the same noise you get when you fire up the motor it is that "buzzzzzzzz" I called the dealer I got it from and there is/was no answer and this has me puzzled and worried Oh I also took out a nice gouge in the fiberglass trying to load the dang thing and I was in very shallow water and had to get krap out of the trolling motor all morning...

What is the deal w/the buzz? I have only burned a 1/4 tank of fuel I don't have a lemon do I? I ran it out for about 3 minutes and it started but I was in my fishing spot but when I went to go somewhere else it would start to buzz after about a 3 minute ride... Any help would be great and I really don't want to fret... Thanks

Check your oil reservoir to see that it is full. If not while the engine is running loosen the cap and allow to fill then tighten cap. It could be low oil. It could also be that you are overheating do to debris in the system. I had a small stone get into my thermostat and hold it open. If it is full of oil then you better take it to find out what the alarm is.

That would be your warning buzzer... indicating a FAULT has been logged in the PCM (computer) on your engine.

Low oil, overheat condition, low water pressure, sensor failures, low battery voltage, etc. are all possibilities. Your best bet is to get the engine in to the dealer, and have it put on the Computer Diagnostic System to read the "Freeze Frame (FAULT) History".

For your own protection- I would not recommend running it again until the problem has been located and corrected.
