Wichita Outdoor Extreme Sports Show This Weekend

Did anyone go there today and was it worth your time? Thinking about heading out there tomorrow, but wanted to make sure it was worth it. Thanks in advance for your input

Got to meet Ben (bjf_ksu) this morning. Definitely a fine young man representing KSU. Can't say much for the rest of the show - such as it was.

Yeah it was disappointing. I'm still
mad I didn't get to see Ben work the tank.

It was a show in Wichita that had to do with fishing and/or hunting..... what did you expect

It's been a long time since I've been to any of those getups but I seem to remember the sport, boat, and travel show having alot more than that...

The show was OK....I will give it a break since it was the first year. I thought the lay-out could have been a little better and they still had a lot of floor-space unused. The Hartman Areana is a nice arena even though its small (that was my 1st time there). They really need to work on advertising and getting more vendors for next year.

I'm still bitter about this!!! Didn't even know about the expo til Ben posted on here. I can't beg my way into expos I don't know about!

IMO, they really did a poor job of getting the word out to both participants and the public. I really like the timing of the show. Bass and other species are on the verge of gettting real hot. Dove, deer, upland game is getting ready to hit....
The weather this time of year is conducive to outdoor displays (unlike the Sports Boat and Travel Show. This was almost ALL fishing and hunting (and what is related with it)....no vacations, motorcycles, ski-boats, jet-ski's etc. that was real nice IMO. This show has great potential! they just need someone running it that knows what they are doing

Now if we can get rid of the water filter people and massage chairs

I didn't go to the show, but they did have an ad in the Wichita Eagle for about 4 consecutive Sundays in the sports section about the show and I heard it advertised quite a bit on the radio the week before. Don't sound like I missed anything though and i'm glad I saved my $9 or whatever it cost to get in.
