Simon Motorsports... What Eric's Magic can do for You

Check out the video I put together last night. Bits and pices have been posted in the past, but this is to show you how Eric's motor pushes my 22' Ranger

    Somehow, I just don't understand.

    74.1 as a top speed. I know it's a Ranger, and it's running a Bravo, but I expected a better top speed than 74.1

Beautiful boat and motor, and I know Eric does quality work, and delivers quality parts...but 74.1 with 330 HP engine? I've been watching this project and expecting to see something closer to 80.

There has to be more in that boat and motor combination for the $$$ spent.

Bruce, Actually the best to date has been 76.1, but that's trivial. I know that if I strip it down and put a 3 blade on, I might be closer to 80 when everything is said and done. Over the stock 225, I gained 10mph. You have to remember that my 492VS is a big ass hull. It's not all about top end either. The holeshot and midrange performance are way beyond a stock 225. Put this motor on a 21' Bullet or a gambler and you're looking at 95-103mph
