No oil alarm in cold weather????

I have a 2001 Fitch. I was told by someone who was told by someone (you know how that goes) that in real cold weather, like in the 30's, that there was a glitch in one of the sensors. When the cold oil is going through it would think there was no oil and go into slow mode and not let the rpms go over 1200 or something along that line. Anyone heard of this? Anyway to prevent it? Reason I ask is I have a 3 day tournament this week end and every morning it forecasted to be 32. I have all the updates for the motor.

Mine did that last winter on the xd-50. I would come out of the hole and just before the bow popped over she fell flat on her face with the oil light and thebuzzer going off, even did it idleing once. Rusty reccommended the xd-100 oil for the winter. I would check with him to make sure I don't have any wires crossed!

Mike, you are correct, the XD-50 in cold temps can cause a "No Oil" problem as it gets a bit thick when cold, just run XD-100 through the cold months and you should have no problems.
