Re: Big Kansas deer taken (Rodney Bledsoe)

I'm not for sure but I heard a "rumor" there may be a Kansas State Record Deer shot but they aren't saying anything until after the 60 day drying period. Just what we don't need damn publicity all over the internet about all of Kansas's Big Deer in a few years.... maybe next year everything will be leased and us poor boys will be fighting over public ground. It's getting hard enough to keep the same stuff for next year. Went out to a place I hunt this year in early September to ask for permisson and it had been leased .

Re: Big Kansas deer taken (SKUCIUS)

I have not only heard a rumor but I have seen a picture of a deer taken recently....and its freaking huge. My source is my neighbor (his buddy shot the deer) and I saw the pic on his camera phone. I'm new to deer hunting but according to him...it has a 30" inside spread...one of the three drop tines was 16" long. He thinks it will score in the 250"s...top 5 non-typical in the state of KS. I am waiting on pictures to be sent to me and I will post them. It was shot within an hours distance of KC.

Thats the one...wasn't sure if my neighbor was pulling my chain or not. His buddy supposedly shot it near Baldwin.

Re: Big Kansas deer taken (catchatoad)

Well, looking at the tag on the antlers I'm not so sure its really from here. Aren't our tags white? Or would that be some other sort of tag?
