    redistribution of wealth

Here is a creative approach to redistribution of wealth as offered in a
    local newspaper...

Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read 'Vote
Obama, I need the money.' I laughed.
Once in the restaurant my server had on an 'Obama 08' tie, again I laughed
as he had given away his political preference--just imagine the coincidence.
When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that
I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there
in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip
to someone who I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside. The server
angrily stormed from my sight. I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10
and told him to thank the server inside as I've decided he could use the
money more. The homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized
the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter
was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the
    actual recipient deserved money more.

I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept
    than in practical application.

I'm betting I'd be in the category that Obama's plan would help me but I'm not stupid enough to miss the point and see that those who have been very successful in life are getting penalized for their own right-doings...

No Casey, you won't benefit. You have to be a worthless slug that is draining society before his plan will work for you. You are a person who is motivated so you will be penalized.

    Re: redistribution of wealth (Bigbassbo)

I heard another interesting thing today that an individual that owns his own business that has gross sells over $250,000 will be taxed at a higher rate. Sound like alot. But look at a farmer many deal in Millions of dollars of gross recepts but pay big bucks for inputs(seed, fertilizer, fuel, etc), machinery, land and actually earn very little net $$ after expenses. A Carpenter builds and sells a house for $300,000 he's in the higher tax rate bracket too. But will be taxed in the higher bracket because they file as an individual is taxed at a high rate still effecting how much they earn. Yes some are incorporated but the corporation is still taxed at a higher rate. Tax is rased on Gross Income not Net. Say the Carpenter or Farmer nets $50,000 year end after expenses. Is it fair they get taxed at a higher rate than the guy that works for a company that makes $50,000 and has no risk or expenses associated with his job?

That person should only be taxed on adjusted gross income (once all expenses are recogized). What I find funny is the President does not implement tax code changes that is the Legislative branch's job. Obama is nothing but a communist.

Have to be on welfare and have food stamps, I still think that is a bunch of BS, take their money and food stamps they either find a job or die, sounds like a cheap and easy solution. I just saved the US 700 billion dollars may be I should run for pres.

count me in....oh, by the way, Obama is not a communist, but he spouts the principles of a die-hard socialist. Of course, it's an open argument which might be worse, and niether is good for this country!!!

so she is a racist. So if said I am voting for John McCain since he is white wouldn't I be labeled a racist. BTW what business was it of hers to even ask you?
