The baby girl made the HS soccer team, so a trip to Dicks was in order last night. New cleats, shin guards, practice shorts, practice jerseys (why can't you wear a regular T shirt?), soccer socks, practice ball, and a gym bag. $209 later this soccer mom stuff is getting to be as expensive as fishing.
no kidding, my baby girl (6) wants to play soccer this spring and my son (8) will need all new baseball gear this year! Hibbits will love it when we walk thru the doors.

You're right, two games per week, plus Drill Meets on the weekends and trying to fish too... My $3500 gas bill from last year will look more like 6k this year.

Congrats to your daughter Bob. I feel your pain about the cost, my youngest will be starting soccer in a couple of weeks and then baseball season will be right around the corner for both of them. Just the price we must pay to make our children happy I guess. I wouldn't have it any other way though.

Stop all the sniveling....wishing I only had two to keep in sports/cars/insurance. Will trade you 4 high school boys and spot you $100 a month until you cry for mercy. I will even send there wheels with them if you pick-up the insurance tab.
