The first weekend of the spring snow season was a blast. Not a ton of birds around, but the conditions were right for some awesome decoying action, which can sometimes be rare with the white devils...
41 and a band on Saturday in some miserable conditions. Not bad for 5 shooters most of the day.
Today it got down right ugly. Thick fog all morning had the birds on the deck. 5 guys plus three kids and the final tally was 93. We could've hit the century mark but a couple people were out of shells and everyone else was close, so we wrapped it up. Not to mention we wanted to get out of the field before it got too sloppy. Was one of the funnest shoots I can remember in a long time. Oh yeah, 3 banded birds as well, including a double-banded Ross with a $100 reward band.![]()
