depends on what grade of siding you are wanting...lower end like the Seamless Vinyl Siding you are probably around $200 to $250...if you get into some of the more durable siding that is foam backed you are looking for like $400 plus per square.

i am getting concrete boards siding...had a bid of 3.40 sq ft.

That is right in line....sound like you are getting a fair deal. Did you look into the Foam backed siding from Crane? Very nice product as well.
