The pheasant ferry just stopped by.....

and left me a free Ringneck Ranch cooler filled with 25 birds, breasted out and vacuum sealed.

I could sure get used to that kind of hunting.

Fried pheasant for the game tonight.

That's the only bad part. It sure would be fun to share the experience with a bunch of good friends. That being said, I think I'll still go if they ask me again.

So if you were to have paid for the hunt it would have been somewhere around $17 per bird, factor in that you got pretty much everything taken care of except a gun that really isn't a horrible deal

Re: The pheasant ferry just stopped by..... (cgs2004)

Yeah, I really screwed up. They would've even bought my license if I didn't have one yet, but I already did. They even gave me a phone card while I was there in case my cell phone couldn't get out.

I think they charge about $450/day and the supplier bought us all double limits of birds. We came in yesterday on break and got the terrible news that some of the other groups weren't hitting as well, so we had to whack a few extra.

Yeah, I went out to Kanop and it sucked.

I haven't heard any good reports, but will let you know if I do.
