    Re: Heis's hunt (BLAAJA)

We were out bright and early this morning. I was in a group of 4 and we massacred 60 pheasants today without working real hard at it. Let's just say it was a tad chilly when we started.

The Ringneck Ranch is 1st class all the way. 5 star accommodations, 5 star meals and 5 star guides. Our guide had a Masters in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology and the dogs were unreal. The pen raised birds were a trip, too. You had to kick 'em to get 'em up sometimes.

I wanted to take pics, but they take your birds right away and get 'em cleaned and bagged for you so there wasn't much to take pictures of....

I think our entire group w/suppliers and customers shot around 300 birds.

They also had a really nice Pro Shop w/ all kinds of hunting gear -- Columbia, Browning etc... Our supplier said pick out whatever you need and it's on them.

The guns were excluded, unfortunately, but they did buy one customer a new semi auto who forgot to bring his. Damn, I wish I was more forgetful.

Glad to hear you had a good time. When I went to get my pup from them I was in the kennels with all the other dogs and they had an old retired brittany walking around. This old boy would let himself in and out of any pen he wanted. The best part was he would lock the door after he went in or out. It was the coolest thing ever.

I don't think my Brittany, Stoney, got many of his genes.

What a great deal. I could never get so lucky as to fall into a sweet deal like that.
