Noticed today on the bassmasters a few of the pro's have their spinning reels spooled backwards. Does anyone spool theirs backwards and if so is there any advantage?

Spinning reels reel clockwise so i spool the line coming of the filler spool counterclockwise, this eliminates line twist. hope this what you wanted to know
when i was watching steve kendeny down an amstid he was drop shotting adn was using a light weight spinning outfit. He was backreeling the fish so he didn't have to use the drag. I seen them do it a lot on the walleye tour
Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

Must have been what I saw them doing then. I'll stick with my drag cause my luck i'd slip backreeling and they'd be gone.
