    Cleaned Out the Boat

Well I got the boat cleaned out and ready to go to the shed for the winter. I guess I forgot how much crap I had in there? I know my collection is nothing compared to what a lot of you equipment whores have, but here is a small list of what came out my boat tonight:

    13 rods/14 reels
    14 Plano 3700 Boxes
    6 smaller Plano boxes
2 soft-sided bags full of plastics
Numerous assorted bags of plastics scattered about different compartments
    2 sets of rain gear
6 different bottles of sunscreen (and one bottle of tanning oil???)
    2 cans of bug spray
    2 rolls of buttwipe
Plus all the usual emergency stuff-tools, jumper cables, etc...
And last but definitely not least...9 coozies.

Not sure what it means when you have almost as many coozies as rods in your baot, but that has to be a good thing?

All that crap in there and I could've fished all year with about 3 of those rods on the deck and maybe 2 of the Plano boxes.

Always a little sad to see it go away for the winter, but I know what lies ahead for the next few months and that makes it sooo much easier. I had a pretty good year-didn't get to fish as much as I would've liked of course but managed to have some good tournaments here and there and of course learned a lot. Looking forward to next year and I hope Jason knows I'm gunning for him.

Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

Mine is going up next. Ready for some fowl. Hate to say it, but I think this was my last year with my little ole 181'. Not a better way to go out with it then to win at Grand. Sure gonna miss that boat.

I would expect no less from a gamer like you.

I now see what your problem has been all along....you don't have anywhere near enough gear. The Plano box count has to get up to at least 30 or more and the rod/reel combos above 15. Your koozie quantity is just right, however, so I see you have your priorities straight. Damn good thing there isn't a bottle of tanning oil in my rig, cause if the wife saw that, she'd be very suspicious.

Re: Cleaned Out the Boat (kstatebass)

Yeah, and after I took that pic, I found 5 more boxes stashed all the way up in the front that I had missed. That's what I like about a Toon is the storage. It's kind of a catch 22, though. If you have that much room, invariably, you will end up filling it with something.

Re: Cleaned Out the Boat (Jiggernaut)

I agree with that I buy Plano boxes just cause the others make to much noise shifting when i ride, wanna fill the space up and of course I can't have empty boxes in the boat ........ vicious cycle ......
