    New college football rankings!

I happened to notice the new top 25 and the other teams recieving votes. Missouri and Kansas are there, but no KSU? Missouri and Kansas aren't in the top 25 but did recieve votes. I probably should't talk crap because the Buckeyes will most likely loose when they go on the road and play Washington this saturday.

Missouri is a decent team.. I would pick them or Nebraska to win the North. Sadly to get blown out in the Big 12 Championship. If Im not mistaken Nebraska has to travel to Mizzou which will be a challenge for the Huskers..

That is Correct.................Missouri has always been tough for NU to play in Columbia.

We are also playing Colorado in Boulder too........and they have been Beat there B4 even with a Mediocure CU team of that time.....I wouldnt call the North to NU just yet.......if they Beat KSU, KU and Missouri its a lock.......but if thwey loos any of those games it willl be close to call.

Iowa State does not show to have much this Year.....and will know what they CANT do this Saturday when they play Iowa.

Other than that I think NU "should" come out with the North but will more than Likely play Texas or Oklahoma........but that may be determined after October 6th.........that should be a Great Game!!!!

Big 12 North is in pretty tough shape as of late. Whoever the representative is in the Big 12 Championship, they will most likely be a big underdog. I can remember when they were talking about having a big 12 championship and Tom Osborne was dead against it, as he figured it was just another game that you could lose.....

I think Mizzou is a good team (better than KU) but their first 2 wins weren't that pretty, exp to be getting votes...

When they vote for the top 25, they can take into account how they did in the games besides win/loss right?

I can see why KU is getting votes, they have beat a couple of top notch teams so far this year.

Yes but it's very subjective..Case in point. Two weeks ago Ohio State was ranked #11 and beat Youngstown State 38-6 and pulled there starters in the second half. They dropped from 11 to 12 because Georgia bean a unranked Oklahoma State team Makes no sense to me. This past week they struggled against Akron in a 20 to 2 win, and went from 12 to 10 by beating a team they should have throttle. It also depends on other games.

Re: New college football rankings! (beetle)

And that was probably thr reason why they struggled against Akron is because they pulled here 1st line off to give the Second team a chance at play.........You could have left them out and kept racking up the points and then someone would come out and say something about that.

Nothing in the AP-top25 is right anymore........hell I can remember when Osborne Used to keep Starters in the Game just to give them Snap time for later in the year and they accused him of "running up the score"......then when he lost to a decent team they would wonder why go Figure......maybe less playing time ..................Now there more concerned about powhouse Teams Beating the living Pulp out of other teams so they want you to play "Conservative".........What does this solve....NOTHING.......other than allowing your bench to be a bit deeper and preping your Freshman for next season that will do NO good at all because they will go 3-6 months without even touching a Football let alone play due to NCAA rules.

I'm just usign that as an Example.....there are several other Teams....Like Ohio......that are under the saem guns as everyone else.........Win, but dont win by too much........Lose, and we will ridicule you for not playing more

Anyone else remember the game when Solich wouldn't shake Snyder's hand afterwards because he thought Snyder was running up the score? I'm pretty sure Bill shook Tom's hand after all the times they racked up points on us...

I hate to say it, but NU is ranked 14th. I think they are over rated. We'll see come saturday. They played USC close last year and then fell apart. IF they can play solid ball with little to no turnovers, should be a good game. They always play tough in Lincoln.

Big loss for sure, that guy looked pretty good in the 1 1/4 games he played
