    New gun.

Picked up a Beretta 390 20 gauge today at Cabelas for 449 + tax. It was on sale for 150 off. Now that I've moved I have to get my license changed so I can pick it up from the store. Now I need to find a new home for my Benelli 20 gauge.

I believe the sale was supposed to end yesterday but the tags were still on it so they said they would go ahead and give it to me at that price. I can go back up tomorrow and pick you one up if they left the tag on it. Let me know.

    Re: New gun. (Duff)

I had a Beretta 390 12 Ga. and it was a pretty good gun. I couldnt shoot a car that was 20 yards in front of me, but a nice gun nontheless. Why you getting rid of the Benelli?

I getting a new Glock 23 here in the next week or so. Waiting on a few other guns to arrive and then my Sgt. is going to get them from OMB. Can't wait. Love them Glocks

Its a lot like a hot blonde. Looks good, and feels great in your hands but its way to high maintenance for me. I need something that is going to shoot every time instead of having a 800 dollar single shot.

SO you Blamed the gun and got a Benelli SBE and all the sudden you could shoot a car at 20 yards

Duff.............I have never owned a Berretta but I have had the oportunity to use them..........that 390 20g is one of the best 20's around IMO I had my ol trust Remington 1100 20g with 2 barrels (one being a modified) and was a great gun......till I was shooting a buddies 390 20g If I would have seen that sale I think I would have dropped some coin too on that but I didnt know it was on sale up here guess I'll just try and keep saving my money for a Fabarm

yeah, I did Ryan, ask Brad about it. I sold it to him and he got rid of it too. Shot waaaaaay low. He hung a decoy in a tree and at 20 yards shot at it. had 1 pellet in the decoy...

...............thats the 1st by me man especially on a 390...............was it New like that or did you buy it used? Did you have the gun inspected?.......if it was New I would have taken it back and asked for a replacement with a Barrel problem?

    Re: New gun. (TimS)

I think Beretta makes a superior grade autoloading shotgun. I will however state that the afformentioned 390 I owned would not pattern. Im sure that I could have had work done to it, but why should you have to put money into a $500 (inexpensive) gun to have it pattern well at 25-30 yards? I am not the greatest shot on earth, but I can hold my own. One morning while duck hunting Milford Lake I shot 25x's and did not take home a single duck only to return the next day with a Mossberg 500 and limit in less than 10 shots. The Beretta in question was a Lemon plain and simple. I am also confident enough to say that it was probably the ONLY one in 10's of thousands of AL390's manufactured with the problem. I would not hesitate to buy a new Beretta. I traded it for a Benelli Nova.

RJ has told me about that gun and I would have to agree, sounds like a lemon. It is no secret how much I like my Berettas, but something was not right with that gun.

    Luke,
I tried one before ordering it. I shot a 40. XD sub compact. I didn't like the trigger on it. I couldn't shoot well at all. I shot the glock afterward and did a world of better.
