    MELVIN THE CAT MAN

I will let you tell your story but I have to know. Did you and the puss get home without an incident? I dont know if you talked to Paul or not but he had an exciting ride also. He was the last vehicle through on 169 before they closed the road north of Iola. Of course the truck was ok, but the boat floated up behind him, the current tried to take him away. I wonder how my insurance agent would have liked that story. I could just hear that phone call, ahhh John you aint gonna believe this one...........but

Re: MELVIN THE CAT MAN (CESSPOOL)

well we had stopped about 60 miles north of home, for a pee break.. while i walked by the boat.. my old mama cat came out from under the console, to say good morning... well i put her in the back seat of the pickup,, she just curled up and went to sleep... on the ride home she got next to my feet and stayed there all the way home... she must of been having Fun ,, because when we finally got home she didn't want to to get out she finally got out to poop, pee , and get something to eat... she was a happy camper then why she didn't get out at the truck stop in Iola ,, guess she just wanted to go Fishing

Re: MELVIN THE CAT MAN (whoza_daddy)

No he made it in up Minnesota road somehow, probably pushed the truck with the skeeter. Both the truck and boat are still in Iola. Paul said the water got up in his basement last night about eleven. He finally evacd then. Said it started back down early this morning. His sump pump kept up pretty good. Had not checked furnace or hot water heater yet when I talked to him but house was ok above basement. Someone let dog in house while we were talking and the cats were loose inside, the fight was on. Conversation was abruptly terminated.

Re: MELVIN THE CAT MAN (CESSPOOL)

As I was coming home from Manhattan yesterday 47 was closed so I turned and took 58 through leroy and was going to give 169 a shot. Well that was a mistake as the water was over 1/2 mile wide across the road and they said like 7 ft deep. So I tracked back to 59 and made it through. Unbelievable the amount of water on 58 as well. Probably lucky I got across when I did cause it looked like I was driving through a lake. Glad to hear you guys are ok.
