    ECU Replacement

1999 Mercury 2.5 Pro Max Sport stock, with A-32 or A-36 ECU, I want to change out to an A-42. Question, Do I have to get new ECU programmed for this new higher rev limit, or just put it on and run? Will it automatically schedule fuel according to rpm?

    Re: ECU Replacement (TurbineTech)

A42 is a 260 curve. Your stock Pro Max will not run well with it.

A32's are good curves for stock Pro Max's. Why not send your A32 out and have the limiter removed? It would be much easier and cheaper.

Whom do I send it to? Local shop or a racing shop?
