    Flooding continues

Have severe flooding county just south of us and Looks like I-29 in Iowa/NW missouri is Closed.......the NISHNABOTNA RIVER NEAR HAMBURG has flood stage at 23.0 and is at 32.4 and has shut down I-29 in that area.......a Levee has been breached and has closed it as far as Rockport.....several other Levee areas are being breeched today as Flood water continue to rise from hard rains in Norther areas and waters have receeded to the main rivers.

Missori River is out of Baks in areas SE of here too all along the lower valley area near Rulo, Brownville and other rural areas along the River.

Cities included in the Danger are St.Joe, Atchison, Platte City, Leavenworth, Lansing, Parkville, and other metro areas outlieing the Missouri River including the Industrial areas of the Kansas City Districts.

I sure Hope Bob and others are going to be OK

It sounds like Bob already has issues with water in his basement. Hopefully he doesn't have to deal with floodwaters, too. Anyone heard from him?????

    Re: Flooding continues (tritonryan)

I live less than 1/2 mile from stranger creek. (known for flooding), but i live on a highlands to the east side. So i am in no danger of property damage.

But the main road to my house was closed for about a day. ( had to use the back roads). 24/40 was within inches of being under water. Evans road was under water and closed for several hours.

The 600acre farm field next to stanger creek is under several feet of water, looks like a huge lake.

Good luck to those that live close to running water and be careful out there!

Bad news for that area. Glad I got through yesterday. Saw one levee breached yesterday around the IA/MO border.
