    visiting

Hey all I will be going out to FT. Riley Kansas for work for about 3 weeks starting next week. How is fishing on Milford? Got lucky and spent 3 weeks in central texas last month for work and at least it was warm. Looks like we are expecting another good storm here in colorado springs this weekend so yall may be in for some more rain.

Oh yeah how are the cops out there on towing doubles? I will be towing my fifth wheel with the boat behind it.

Thanks for any info. Take care,

You should run in to some good fishing by then. Lake should be coming up, fishing will be best toward the end of your stay. Keep in touch, probably a good chance a few of us can meet up sometime.

RJ & Sam will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the length limit is 60 feet. Locals my not hammer you but the KHP on I 70 most likely will. A guy in our club tows double from time to time and is 3 feet over the limit. Not sure what the fine is.

What is the legal length of a trailer in Kansas?
The legal length of a single trailer is 59 1/2 feet
What is the legal length of each trailer when pulled in a tandem configuration?
The combination shall consist of a truck or tractor-semitrailer-trailer. Each trailer being towed shall not exceed 28 1/2 feet in length.

I thought in Kansas if you have a truck, fifth wheel, boat combo you can't be longer than 65 feet. In some states I think it's 70 ft.

    Re: visiting (Jiggernaut)

Legal limit for Colorado is 70 feet. Kansas is 65 from what I read. I haven't hooked it all together but think I will be around the 69 to 71 foot range. I just figure if I drive slow and don't make notice of myself I should be ok

Sounds good, I'm sure we'll run into you sometime. There will be a bunch of us there on the 28th for the Ahearn tourney, maybe we could all meet up at the weigh in or something??
