Where do you guys send in your stuff?
I send all my reels directly to Shimano. If there's a problem with them, they usually just replace then with a brand new reel for a very low charge. I think that might be part of their Pro-Staff thing though of which I've been fortunate to have.![]()
I do reel repair and cleaning. I am sure Bob and Steve will vouch for me. Email me at 'sooners@kc.rr.com' and we can discuss your reels.

I have heard good things and they're close by.![]()
Oh, I am a Shimano part plus dealer also. I work on all the reels but specialize in shimano, thanks to shimano!
I hear Lake Fork Tackle does good work on reels. There is a local guy here in Leavenworth that does some reel work (Dennis Edwards). He is DEdwards here on the boards![]()

Guess I should have read the entire thread...Dennis is a great guy and an even better fisherman. He does great work at a fair price. I highly recommend him.

I have only ever used Heartland Tackle Service. Jim is a heck of a guy and has always taken care of my stuff. He only handles Abu, Daiwa and Shimano though.
That said it is always best to use one of our own.
EDIT...
Just noticed Jim Johns (reeldoc) just joined the Kansas Club this morning. Either person you use I can imagine you will be taken care of. I have been a customer of Jims for 2 years now and will continue to do so. He is about as good as it gets.
