    last cast bassmasters challange

we ended up having 4- 4 man teams.. 2 - teams from last cast , 1 team from sandhill, and 1 team from shawnee mission.. last cast just put boat 1 and 2 as a team and boat 3 and 4 as a team.. it took 7 fish , 15 pounds and 3 oz to win.. sorry you wasn't there Jason, the smallie bite was good... the winning team was M. Smoot, J Pool, K.Powell, and T. Ellis.. and your Right. the M stands for Matthew , not Melvin

    Melvin,
So how was the fishing? Did the 15 lbs come from 7 fish and were most smallmouth or largemouth? I brought up Melvern at our meeting, but nobody was interested in going. We picked Milford again for our club tournament. I'm kinda tired of that lake. Ready for some new scenery.

    Jason.
probaly 1/2 were smallies,, we had a 3-5 smallie,, there were several fish caught ,, the 15-3 lbs was 7 fish.. both of my fish were smallies..my partner Tad had 3 LM,,,, had ahold of a good fish first thing on a crankbait. she was pulling some drag . and then hooks just poped out... later in the day i had ahold of a good smallie on a Jason rig.. damn light line anyhow .. sure wish you guys would of came, i was going to sping for bugers and beer.. so i just going to take that money and buy a new rod and reel.. like i need another one there was another club there fishing. i saw 1 guy taking 2 smallies back to the water, that were 3-4 pounds fish

Sounds like you guys did alright. The word I had heard was there was a good populations of smallies in the 12 to 15" range. Sounds like that holds true. Gotta get over and fish that lake sometime.
