I also posted this in the general section. Sea Star HC 5342 is leaking around the starboard end of the piston. Is this something I could fix with replacing an O-ring/gasket or do I need to have a mechanic look at it?

If it's leaking it needs rebuilt ,new seals.

BIG BASS
Look very closely at the chrome plated rods as any pits, roughness, or corrosion are what damaged the seal in the first place. Same thing with trim and tilt rams.

If the rod is in good shape you can get a kit from Teleflex that has the needed spanner wrench to remove the end caps. That way you won't have to remove your cylinder and ship it off. It should be an HC5345.
