OK
So I take afternoon off to hit the lake a little & in da middle of going I get cell call from dad.....MOM back in hospital.......low blood psi & blood gas getting too high & Kidney function down.......Tells me "no big deal, we've been through this before & won't know anything for about 4 hours or so.....just go fishing"
Now Under normal circumstances I would drop everything I'm doing & go to the hospital but every since she was diagnosed with Respitory MS (Multiple Sclurosis) she has been in & out of the hospital more than I have REALLY attended church (I should go more). SO......I decide to just go fishing (dads orders too) & do you think that I could REALLY fish while I'm there......................NO..............all i did was think about how crappy of a son I am......here I am fishing & she's laying on a bed in hospital. I could not concentrate on what I was doing either.........water temp was in low 60's all over the lake.....water level was low & I was trying to sight fish but was not working well because of water clarity. Plus it's hard to know where the fish are when the water has dropped enough that the bed areas you are used to fishing are all dry bank area this year
I was able to mark some fish adjacent to these areas (staging zones) but was unable to get them to bite either.........................Are things just that tough this year???? Is the fishing EVER goign to turn on this year??????? I'm so tired of coming up with 0 most times & it would have been nice to atleast catch ONE bass........

Re: OK (chunter_ksu)
Chris,
I can relate......I hate seeing my mom go through some of the things she does. It's a tough disease to deal with....not just the physical but the Mental side too. Hers has progressed enough she has a permanent trach & is on resporator during nights. Still has to have O2 when she's on her elec chair but still gets to leave the permenent care center on occation for home visits & go shopping from time to time.....if she has the energy.....it takes a lot from her too........& to think she used to be pretty active going all over the place too
What type of MS does your Aunt have.........if you don't mind me asking.
