    Ex Kansas Angler

Hey yall. I just wanted to stop in and say hi. I'm an ex Kansan now living in Texas. Used to be a member of the Big Hill Bassmasters and fished it until I was about 24. Spend a lot of days on that pond. Hope you all are staying warm. It's 60 here!

Stop by anytime, man. I really like Big Hill. Great Lake. We don't want to hear about your 60 degree weather though.

Well, it's been 70 this week, lol! But windy as all get out. A 6, 11 smallmouth is huge. I caught a 5 1/2 during a tournament on Big Hill in November and that is my biggest. Used to have several a year come out of there pushing the 6 pounds mark. I know theres a giant in there somewhere if someone could catch it.

rngr481, there's plenty of room for you down here! It's a different world fishing wise though. You won't know what to do with yourself with all these lakes!

Got to be honest, I'm not an expert on that subject. I do have in-laws down there that hunt allot and they kill quite a few birds, but they're in the Houston area. They may be coming up this way and hunting Fork this weekend. I've seen allot of waders and teal on Fork this winter. We have quite a few woodys too. I don't think we get the migrating birds this far east like the do in the metromess and west. We're just out of the central fly zone. I do know Falcon is covered up right now, but areas around Houston have no girds this week, so they've kept heading south to the coast and beyond. There's definitely more ducks here than Kansas though.
