    Rick,
I'm already signed up for it and you're abolutely right. Connie from the Geary Co Visitors and Convention Bureau said they are really needing some more guides, so anybody interested should get in touch with her. They need folks that have a boat and can provide all the gear for 1 or 2 folks to go fishing with. Possibly celebrities or dignitaries. Should know a thing or two about finding fish on Milford.

I'm not too sure about it. I might consider it but I think it's more of a local thing than anything else. Plus what happens if they loose a good combo ($200+). Or fall of the boat & want to sue you (one neglegence). Do they have a writer for this kind of stuff. Do the people getting on my boat sign a waiver of liability so I don't loose everything I've worked hard to own?
Don't get my wrong it seems like am AWESOME opertunity for someone like me but just too many things running in my head about it.

Am I out of line thinking about this type of stuff considering the things you read & here about all the time............

I don't know of any problems that they've had with that sort of thing. The guides do this on a volunteer basis though and it will cost you some money. You provide your boat, gear, etc... and if you break or lose something it's at your cost. A lot of guys do it because of the networking possiblities available at an event such as this. They do feed you pretty good and I think they give each guide a gift at the end but that's about it. The idea is to take these folks out who aren't very experienced anglers and put them on fish so they can catch fish and have fun. The main award, "the governors cup" is based on the team bringing in the single heaviest smallmouth. You could be paired with a Kansas City Chief or Royal, political dignitary, or a soldier from Ft. Riley.
