Bass boat friendly campground on KY Lake?

I am looking to get back into keeping an RV on a seasonal site at a KY Lake campground. I have stayed at two over the years, Lakeside and Southern Komfort and neither were boat friendly. I could not keep the boat by the RV at either of them making battery charging difficult. Both seemed more interested in selling marina slips. I do not like to keep my boat in the water because I do a lot of trailering to different parts of the lake while there.

Can someone point me in a direction?

Birmingham point campground ky. I don't know much about it but I seem to remember a lot of bass boats parking right next to their RVs. Looked spacious also. Just South of Moors.

Good luck finding a spot there. I have several friends that camp there. Bring a good liver too.

I park my boat beside my camper, but I'm a lot longer drive for you guys. There were 2 open spots but they aren't choice which is probably why they are opnen.

    Hey Chuck,

If you are not completly set on being on Kentucky lake you may want to look at Goose hollow campground on Lake Barkley. It is very close to several ramps and still doesnt take long to get to the mid lake region of Ky lake. The campground has great owners and it is very secure.

    Rick,

They are not lakefront lots, the campground is actualy across the road from a ramp and a couple of miles from Prizer point. There was no flooding during the record floods the last couple of years. I think the yearly fees are 1500-1600. I am not sure about WiFi sorry. http://www.goosehollowcampground.com/

I bailed out of Southern Komfort when I heard of the changes that TVA was proposing to seasonal camping regulation and because of having to move the trailer when the lake got high.

I ended up renting a small 2 BR apartment at Lakeland Wesley Village not far from Lakeside and the Jonathan Creek ramp for $400 a month. Management permitted me to park the boat in front of the apt when I am there, but the neighbors were not too happy about it. I am not sure if they would extend that privilege to new arrivals. There are a several open apts where I am at. $400/mth would make a payment on a nice little rv.

My sig others misses being by the lake so I am looking again.

You might be in about the same location as the site i used to have. Along Rte 68 about 5 or 6 sites down from the upper bath house. The pool was also an attraction for us at the time. I remember there was a real cranky guy who had a place up near the treeline past the bath house. Wonder if he is still there. Fishing tip...there is a stump or something out in front of the boat ramp that holds some big crappie at times in the spring!!

I'm right next to the upper bathhouse on the same side of it on the south side ...there are like 5-6 full time spots that came open this year....don't know what the deal is if folks are leaving or what.....I love our spot relative to other spots...
