What's the difference between the FLW Open and Majors??

The Majors consist of 6 FLW TOUR Level tournaments which are exclusive to only those anglers who commit to fishing all six events with deposits paid up front for those events.
The Opens allow anglers to fish one or more of these TOUR level events without commiting to all four. However, those anglers who are committed to fishing all four will recieve priority over anglers signing up for just one event. This only matters if the field is full.
The rules and payouts between the Opens and the Majors are the same for the most part.
Due to the fact that pros from both Tours (Elite Series and FLW Tour Majors) often choose to fish the FLW Tour Opens, the tournament field highlights some of the best anglers from each league, as well as local "hotrods" who enter to take their chances against the big boys.
