Going fishing somewhere on friday but not sure where i want to go. Wanting to stay fairly close but i also want to have a chance to catch a few fish in the process? I'm located in florence kentucky and want to stay within a two hours. I was thinking brookville? Anyone ever fish it this time a year?
    Thanks!

wherever the water is the clearest. Need 4-5' of visibility to do much of anything in sub 40 degree water.

B'ville would be my first choice... Dale Hollow would be next (ya I know it's more than 2hrs), the jig bite was on last weekend... Dan

Referring to the real world here roddy, not the fish laden heaven that is the twins. When fish per acre go from 5000 there to 5 here you need that visibility

Base water temp here on Ky is still 50....way above normal and the fish are loving it.

try Williamstown or Bullock Pen for close options. I heard Brookville has been pretty tough of late. If you wana drive another hour or two Cumberland should be good, you can be at Lees Ford in 2 1/2 hours and Conley Bottoms in 2 hours 45 mins. but of course like everyone said Dale 3 1/2.

My dad and I may try Cumberland this weekend. I wanna go to Dale, but we like to have more than 1 day for Dale.

That may make for an early spring if we don't get some cold weather.
