2012 BFL LBL tentative schedule...

Ok, so I was bored and called FLW and got the tenative schedule for next year....

March 17 Moors
April 21 Barkley Lake - Kuttawa
June 16 KY Dam
July 21 KY Dam
Sept. 15-16 KY Lake - Kuttawa (this one doesnt make sense on the location, cuz Kuttawa is at Barkley, and she didnt know anything different)
Oct. 18 Regionals Pickwick Lake

According to the KDFWR website the two dayer is at Kuttawa Lake Barkley.

Well I guess that they are not worried about fish care anymore with this schedule. That was the lame excuse they used last year for not having any summer ledge tournaments. Of course one of the real reasons was the FLW tour guys didn't want the local guys fishing a) the week before their tournament burning up "their" fish or b) fishing the week after them and gps pirating "their" spots during the tournament.

I will be curious to see if the entry numbers rebound this year with this schedule along with the closer and better regional site.

That is a better schedule for sure, I wish they had better parking at Kuttawa though that has to be one of the worst places around for a possible 200 boat tourney(parking wise) that is. Maybe I'll fish more than 2 of them this year

It really needs more than one entrance. One that is entrance only, and one that is exit only.

Is there a reason they wont have it out of Cadiz at the state park .just wandering ?

I would imagine it has to do with parking...that one is a real nightmare. Lots of vehicles parking in the grass - one year it was raining bad and the place looked awful after the event with the grass all tore up.

Could have something to do with the 18" smallmouth limit too, and Barkley Marina's close proximity to the state line.

I love fishing south Barkley down around the Linton/Bumpus Mills area....
