Hey guys I'm looking at a boat with a 2003 225 ETEC HO. What kind of experience do yall have with this motor? I don't know the compression numbers yet but I know that's the biggest factor. Being an HO, how many horses does it put out? Fuel mileage? Reliability? Thanks
The 2003 will not be an ETEC, but rather a DI. Great motor built by BRP. You can get a computer print out with the hours, RPM run time, as well as any codes the motor has or had. Get the serial number, and on of the Rude guru's can run it for you and see what if any warranty work or other work has been performed.
