Hey fellas my partner has. 2000 model Johnson 200. We think it's fuel related. First thing when you. Crank up wether you run a mile or 20 miles it runs great but after stopping and fishing when we crank it up it idles but will not get on plane it sounds like it is flooding and smokes bad.
If I was you two I'd find a better gas station than the ones you are both using.

I have a 2000 model 150 and mine has done this since i have owned it (about 4 years) and i have tried everything from cleaning carbs to replacing spark plugs. The only difference is mine only does it when its hot out like say upper 80s and 90s. I have a good friend with the same engine and his does it also.
