    Patoka???

If I don't fish some where soon I can't be responsible for myself. I'm off Thursday 5/5/2011 and the only place close I can go to is Patoka. Can you get under the bridges and are there any ramps open? Thanks for any help I just need to get out! Tight Lines

I heard today that the water was a foot below the spillway. If that is the case I don't think you could get under the bridges.

You can launch at Osbourne ramp and not have to worry about getting under the causeway bridge if you are looking to fish up the river or little patoka.

    Re: Patoka??? (201pro)

Patoka won't be going any higher Right now Patoka is at 548 and the spillway elevation is 548 too.

I'm told you cannot access Patoka from the north via West Baden.

This link shows you spillway elevation http://www.lrl.usace.army.mil/...c.pdf

This link shows lake level. http://www.lrl.usace.army.mil/....html

Would they allow boats on the lake if the spillway overflow isn't protected by bouys?

i still think you can launch out of newton stewart and osborn. so really just pick which side of the lake you wanna fish. i had a buddy fish patoka sat. and they did fairly well fishing the flooded timber.

    Re: Patoka??? (b*******45)

I fished out of Painter Cr sat and had no problem getting under the bridge. Didn't make it to Newton S. so don't know what it was there. My son killedem I didn't do so hot. Good luck.
