    West Boggs Info

I'm taking the family up to Boggs this weekend for some camping with family friends and am going to take my dad out panfishing and maybe try and hook a bass or two. Are there any creeks, coves, areas that are a must stop to catch a few panfish to put on the grill? Any information that you all would like to share would be greatly appreciated as it will be my first time on the lake. I hear the weekend tournament traffic is usually pretty heavy up there. Any other tips or concerns? Any ramp fees or will the IDNR launch permit cover me? Thanks!

It will cost you 15 dollars to get in the park if youre pullin a boat.5 dollars if youre not. I fished Friday and Sunday, and the boat traffic was about the same both days. You shouldnt have a problem finding a cut or cove to do whatever fishin you want to do. The lake is county or city owned so youre DNR pass is no good there.Good Luck.
