    Barren Conditions

I know Barren is a few feet over summer pool, but was wondering if anyone might know if it is muddy, if it full of debris, and maybe the water temperature? I am looking the go down there for a couple days next week. Thanks for any info.

Fishing reports were bad today. Two boats went - 1 keeper between them. I'm glad I had to work. It will get better when the weather stabilizes. By then it may be 12 or 14 feet over summer pool though.

I am wanting to fish Barren at the end of the month for the first time. If the water is still up what does the higher water elevation do for the fishing, good or bad?

Last year it flooded twice and the fishing was AWESOME. But I haven't seen it go this high this early. So far, the fish have followed the water. I'm betting the fishing will still be really good until they start pulling water and then they will pull out and suspend a will be a little tougher. But your guess is probably as good as mine. So Daniel and I will go catch hybrid stripers on the parking lot. That was fun!
