My son owns a 1991 evenrude 25 hp and the water pump quit pumping water. We bought a repalcement impeller and put it in. Hooked it up to the muffs in the driveway started engine no water being cycled thru engine. Not sure what the problem could be. I know the key on the pump is correct and the pump is turning.
Any thoughts would be great.

up at the top where the water comes out (where it pees) take a air hose and blow air thru it.......may have picked up something or a piece of the old pump clogging the line................had that happen on a 50hp merc.........shot air thru it and was good to go...........small piece of the old pump was in the line
