I've not fished Monroe for about 4 years. It tends to be pretty tough in the summer dog days at least it always was for me. I like spring and fall there the best. Lemon is a good lake. Just don't try to run in the east end...it's full of stumps...or at least used to be.

I fished Monroe Friday night from about 6PM to 12AM. Water is down a bit and water temps in the high 80's. Picked up a few keepers but nothing really big.

    Most fish are coming deep.

A buddy of mine fished a small night tourney the week before and took 21 pounds to win.

Seems like Lemon would be a good bet to try

I was at Monroe all weekend. fishing at night was best. Day times i caught them on drops in 18ft or so deep. At night I could catch them on crankbaits in 8ft of water. I just hate the idle rules in Indianapolis. Drives me nuts for fishing at night!

It isn't just Indy, it is all of Indiana. Idle only after dark.

I would think if you were coming down for a couple days it would be easier to put together a pattern on Lemon this time of year. The docks should be good right now. If you can stomach the launch fee and crappy ramp.
Monroe will have fish on out the drops on the main lake but might be tricky if you don't know the lake real well.
