2007 Etec 75 question

I recently bought a bassboat with an 07 75 etec on it. When running on the water the self diagnosis periodically goes off - the buzzer goes off and the 4 lights in the tach for oil,temp, etc go off one by one. It runs good but what gives?? It is a bit annoying. Also - can i get a harness and software to hook up my computer to it to get info on hours etc off it. Where? I probably should not have bought it. After i thought about it - looks like it was a guide boat and may have an ungodly number of hours on it. What can you tell me about the reliability of these engines? How many hours before rebuild? Thanks

That sounds like a loose connection somewhere. Wingnuts on the battery?

The problem with the systom gage cycling through is due to a voltage loss to the gage. Many times it is a loose or broken wire at the key switch (the purple wire). Yes! you can purchase the software and cables to hook up your computer from your local BRP dealer or any on line source or eBay.
