I am so to report is was a suicide......Melvin was one of my all time favorite UK players, used to see him around town alot.

Sad. I think sometimes folks who are lucky enough to make it fairly big when they are young have a tough time when they have to face the real world later. Too bad.

I shared a locker with Mel in Jr. High School. There wasn't a nicer, kinder, more friendly person anywhere. I can't ever remember him having a bad day, or not having a smile on his face. R.I.P. Big Mel.
