    Results of Eliminating Water Class

Well I took Dave's class this Winter on hopes of improving my catch a bit. Been tourney fishing for a couple years now and I am a novice at best! My year started out slow but has turned the corner. Its amazing what a good map will do for you and knowing a little more on how to read it. I wish you could get Atlantic Maps for some of the smaller lakes.
I may not catch a limit the rest of the year but the past 3 tourney's I have managed to get a limit on 3 seperate lakes. Old Hickory, Barkley, and Barren. Managed a 3rd place finish Sunday on Barkley with a 6lb kicker. I have alot more confidence when I hit the water now. I know longer pull the ole "that bank looks good, lets waist a few hours here!"
Thanks Dave, maybe one of these days I can get down and get in the boat with you and really learn something!

I really want to take Dave's class, but working in the road construction industry makes it very hard to get away long enough to be able to do it. Have heard so many good things about how it helps angler success rates it's unreal.

I imagine the class focuses on Kentucky Lake, right? How does the class material help an angler on other lakes, rivers, impoundments?

The class does not really focus on KY and Barkley - although those maps may be used to demonstrate some of things he is talking about. It is more about how to look at a map and eliminate water, and focus on spots or locations that have a higher percentage of holding fish. You really gain a great understanding of the movement of food sources for bass, therefore it greatly improves your chances of locating fish throughout the year. It applies to almost any body of water. Well worth the money - and probably the most valuable thing I have purchased in terms of fishing.

Re: Results of Eliminating Water Class (kstephens)

Being from PA I can personally testify how good the class is and that it will work on any water. Dave is not showing you how to fish Kentucky/Barkley, he is showing how to eliminate water and properly read a map. I recommend doing the class and then a trip with him. Even if you are not catching fish it will at least help to see and feel and what you are looking for in some of those spots. Some of the best money that I ever spent.

I almost never fish Ky lake and Dave's class has helped me more than I can explain. As he explains it, it works on any lake with shad as the main forage base.
